You would think growing up with an alcoholic, abusive father would turn a guy off booze for life. Ian didn’t fucking care. He was onto his third six-pack of beer because there was nothing harder to get his hands on. Black and blue with suspected cracked ribs from being beaten up and nearly raped prevented him from moving too far.

Everything hurt, and because his lover and family were both fearing he could suicide, there was nothing stronger than two measly Tylenol to take. He cracked open another bottle and downed it. Life wasn’t impressing him at all right now.
